Our story

“If it is made out of wood, we can make it!”

Geoff enjoyed crafting furniture and custom item requests for years for family and friends. When sons Tommy and Charley showed interest in spending more time in the shop, they began to create together! They posted a few items online for people to see and received an overwhelming response. Mercer & Sons Woodcrafts was born!

They are proud to be their family’s 2nd iteration of “Mercer & Sons”. Tommy and Charley’s great-grandfather operated a cabinet and millwork shop in Eureka, CA with his four sons by the same name.

While primarily a power tool shop, each piece we construct is planed, scraped, and sanded by hand to finesse and refine the shape and feel. We start with timber of the highest quality, then use traditional and modern joinery techniques to create a heirloom quality piece.
